Norman’s Cay

Norman’s Cay is the essence of peace and beauty. This tranquil cay has quite an interesting history. In the 70’s and 80’s, the island was the private smuggling cove for the famous drug trafficker Carlos Lehder. Today, the small island is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

  • Plane wreckage: Snorkel to see the submerged crashed plane that is thought to be from Carlos Lehder’s drug operation days.
  • MacDuff’s: The only restaurant and bar on the island, MacDuff’s offers delicious cocktails and food with an amazing oceanfront view.

Warderick Wells

“Take only photographs- leave only footprints”.  The headquarters of the Exuma Cay Land and Sea Park, Warderick Well serves as a nature preservation. Explore the isolated island that is home to breathtaking flora and fauna.

  • Hiking Boo Boo Hill Trail: The highest point on the island, Boo Boo Hill is named for the local lore of being haunted by ghosts of a shipwreck. Hike past blowholes and wildlife and experience breathtaking views.
  • Snorkeling: There is no fishing allowed on this island and the water is teeming with fish and lobster, making it one of the top snorkeling locations in the Bahamas.
