Although both groups of islands aren’t too far apart geographically, the split in their colonial rule over time has shaped their differences and has created a distinct kind of experience for each.

Yet, a passport is still required to step on land. It is a British territory after all! In fact, British Virgin Islanders are classified as having full British citizenship and according to the Government of the British Virgin Islands, “are deemed to be citizens of the EU as well.”
