Dive into Warmth this Winter

Freezing cold temperatures and shoveling snow? That’s not how we spend the winter season over here in the Bahamas!

With water and outside air temperatures both averaging 75-78°F year-round, the Bahamas has the perfect conditions for water sports and activities regardless of the season. For frostbite-free fun this winter, join us for an itinerary full of adventures you won’t want to miss.

Snorkel with marine life.

Explore the Mermaid Reef located right off the coast of Marsh Harbour and discover why it’s one of the city’s most popular attractions. Waters here are already extremely clear, making it easy to spot the moray eels, yellowtail, schools of snapper, and other unique marine creatures that occupy this area.

The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park also offers a wide array of breathtaking marine life and is home to the Western Hemisphere’s second-largest coral barrier reef. Here you’ll discover the island’s spotted eagle rays and the many sea turtles that call this stunning place home.

The Aquarium reef, whose name stems from its surplus of marine life, can be found at Bell Island and is a must-see snorkel spot for travelers!

Surf the Bahamian waves.

For our surfers out there, Guana Cay in the Abacos is the place for you! Grab a board and paddle out to experience the different breaks that the locals surf all year long. This coastline is also seven-miles long and frequented by sea turtles!

Boat around paradise and absorb the vitamin sea.

Instead of riding around on snowmobiles in icy temperatures, enjoy boating around places like Compass Cay, soaking up the warmth of the sun. Nothing beats watching sunsets from aboard Mast Charters with a drink in hand!

Swim with the pigs.

Likely to be at the top of every traveler’s bucket list, swimming with the famous pigs at Big Major’s Spot is a MUST. Hop in the water and make friends with these four-legged locals best known for hoggin’ up all the attention.
